- Pencil sketch of legendary punk front man of The Clash, Joe Strummer. Drawn for and exhibited at the Kirkintilloch Art Exhibition, September 2011....purely for my own pleasure!
In my opinion The Clash were one of the greatest bands who ever walked the earth. I don't know if you dig them yourself...which is fine and everything..., but if you don't, please know that I can never really be friends with you! Yep, they are that special. Joe was a legend. As the frontman of The Clash from 1977 onwards, he changed peoples' lives forever. A political activist and musical icon, Strummer was never shy about saying what was on his mind and meaning it. Sadly missed. He was the voice of a generation which still resonates today.
